Recap by phillip woo
O'Liner went straight to the front from gate one and never looked back, registering an easy victory on his sixth local start. It was his best Hong Kong performance. Many of the punters who specked him first up on the dirt deserted him second up on the turf. Lucky Eight travelled without cover behind the leading pair and stayed on well for second. He rarely produces a bad run over this Happy Valley trip. Atomic Force came from near last to fill a placing. He has run well in both of his sprints this term. Early favourite Wonder Kit ran on well to fill the frame after finding cover one off the fence from the widest draw. He was first up carrying more weight following his last-start win. Happy Golf got going late to finish the next best. He continues to find things hard in this grade following his two wins in Class Four. Tomodachi Kokoroe was on his tippy toes 100m out after chasing the eventual winner on the rail. He prefers Sha Tin. Hoss came up flat. It was a below-par effort. Post-time favourite Solid Impact was eased down 200m from home after going amiss.
