Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (821) - KINGS FALCON HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
KOWLOON EAST STAR was withdrawn on 11.7.23 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head wound).
KING INVINCIBLE was withdrawn on raceday evening by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality).
Before being allowed to race again, KOWLOON EAST STAR and KING INVINCIBLE will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
ABOVE ALL was slow to begin.
MODEST GENTLEMAN jumped only fairly.
SAVVY DELIGHT jumped awkwardly.
ACE TALENT lay out from the 600 Metres.
Near the 350 Metres, ACE TALENT then shifted out and was steadied away from DIAMOND SOARS.
Approaching the 150 Metres, FAST SERVE lay in and bumped the running rail.
Near the 50 Metres, KING ECCELLENTE and SAVVY DELIGHT bumped due to both runners shifting ground.
A veterinary inspection of FLYING DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FAST SERVE and SAVVY DELIGHT were sent for sampling.

Fast Serve trounced them after driving to the front 850m out from gate three to remain perfect in two starts. He'll start in a higher grade next season but there's clearly more to come from the three-year-old. The well-backed Savvy Delight dashed late to grab second after a patient ride three from the rear. He was able to back up off a close third last week. Punted late, King Eccellente stayed on well for third after a prominent run from an outside gate. It was another honest Valley performance despite trying the 1,000m for the first time. Ace Talent had his chance after a box-seat run but only plodded over the last 100m. Millennium Falcon made some ground from towards the rear to finish next best without threatening the top four. It was a positive performance over an inadequate trip. Specked late, Diamond Soars was on his tippy toes 150m out after a speed-tracking run from gate seven. He's a Class Five horse. Flying Dragon didn't fire when asked for an effort from midfield on the fence. He's a Sha Tin horse.
