Recap by phillip woo
Heavily backed to jump clear the second choice, Adios flew late to grab victory in the final few metres after getting held up for a clear run until the 200m from the box seat. He has had a fabulous four-win campaign and filled the frame in seven of 11 other starts. Specked late, Rewarding Together fought back to take second when headed after briefly leading 200m out following a speed-tracking run. It was a return to form after three below-par efforts. Odds-on favourite Courier Wonder peaked on his run 50m out after rushing to the lead 150m from the line. The heavy weight took its toll. Duke Wai had poked his head in front 250m out after a prominent run but found a few too good in deep stretch. It was another honest run by the veteran sprinter. Master Eight got his own way in front but was stopping 150m out. He has been struggling for most of the campaign. Ima Single Man struggled to stay in touch at the rear. He has come to the end of his campaign.
