Recap by phillip woo
Odds-on favourite Beauty Eternal reeled in Healthy Happy 30m out after getting all the favours travelling one-out, one-back for a seventh win from 10 starts, including two straight at Group Three level. He's got a very bright future. Circuit Stellar ran on nicely to finish a close second after a prominent run on the fence. He has been racing well all season long and has lost nothing in defeat behind Beauty Eternal in his past two starts. Healthy Happy found a couple just too good after claiming the lead 400m out following a speed-tracking run. He seems best suited over the 1,400m nowadays. Beauty Joy came from last to finish next best in the six-horse field. The big weight took its toll. Red Lion peaked on his run 100m out after taking off from near last rounding the final bend. He couldn't hold his own tossed into Group company following wins in four of five prior starts. Kurpany knocked up from the 200m after rushing to the front passing the 1,300m in his first run off a 137-day injury break. He's had a stop-start campaign.
