Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (753) - SHUI CHUEN O HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
MAGIC TRAVELLER jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
STAR CLUB was slow to begin.
Near the 800 Metres, NOBLE BOYZ commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid AWESOME TREASURE.
After the 700 Metres, SPEEDY FORTUNE commenced to race keenly and was checked to avoid HUGE WIN.
After the race, L Ferraris (DAN ATTACK) stated that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and in the Home Straight he became concerned with his mount's action and as a result did not fully test it out when not in a competitive position.
A veterinary inspection of DAN ATTACK immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.
The performance of DAN ATTACK, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, DAN ATTACK will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Also after the race, M F Poon (SPEEDY FORTUNE) reported that his mount bounded on jumping, lost ground and as a consequence settled further back than what he had anticipated.
A veterinary inspection of SPEEDY FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Following the race, K H Chan (HAPPY FAT CAT) reported that his mount failed to show sufficient pace to lead today's event and this was the reason for its disappointing performance.

PACKING BOLE and GOLDEN SAMURAI were sent for sampling.

Packing Bole never looked back after driving to the front at the 1,100m to win with plenty in hand. He lived up to his impressive trial form and his future is bright. Punted late, Golden Samurai finished well to take second after a one-off run from behind midfield. It was a good effort. California Vanes ran on steadily to fill a placing after finding the fence in midfield from a wide draw. He had been disappointing lately but was back to the mark of an early-season win on dirt. Awesome Treasure just missed a placing after a pace-stalking run. It was another honest sprint effort. Noble Boyz ran on steadily to finish next best after a one-off run from midfield. It was a positive effort following a setback with lameness in April. Speedy Fortune made good ground late from the rear of the field. The change in tactics backfired carrying more weight following a win.
