Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (688) - THE FRENCH MAY TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
TORONADO PHANTOM shifted in at the start and bumped HARMONY FIRE.
LIGHTNING STORM jumped only fairly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HARMONY N BLESSED.
Shortly after the start, KOKUSHI MUSOU shifted in and bumped GORGEOUS VITALITY.
After the race, L Ferraris (HARMONY FIRE) reported that his mount travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event, but when asked for an effort in the Home Straight did not respond to his riding and weakened under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of HARMONY FIRE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SEASONS WIT and HARMONY N BLESSED were sent for sampling.

After firming to jump the odds-on favourite, Seasons Wit got up in the nick of time after settling better than midfield to ring up a first win at his fourth local start following two seconds. He got the win but may be looking for 1,200m now. Harmony N Blessed did everything but get the win after poking his head in front 20m out following a speedchasing run in third. It was another solid effort following a last-start win. Atomic Energy stayed on gamely for third after working forward three deep to prompt the pace from a wide draw. It was a good effort despite a rise in class following back-to-back wins. Lightning Storm was swamped in deep stretch after turning the final bend nearly two lengths on top after easily finding the front from gate nine. He has run with merit in both starts this term following an injury. Drops Of God made a mild bid from midfield. He prefers a longer trip. Toronado Phantom just held his ground after making his run in midfield on the fence. He requires 1,200m. Gorgeous Vitality ran on without threatening down the outside from the rear of the field.
