Ka Ying Spirit kept finding leading soon after the start on the grandstand side to ring up a fourth win from eight starts over this course and distance and third from six outings this term. Run Run Cool ran on nicely to finish a close second after making his run midfield in the centre of the course. He's always a chance over this course and distance. Plunged to jump favourite Pleasing Endeavor plugged away to fill a placing after a speed chasing run. It was another honest performance despite trying his luck with an inexperience rider. Metro Warrior held onto fourth after leading early on. He rarely produces a bad run over the straight 1,000m. Beauty Tycoon ran on without threatening from better than midfield. He went okay but the 1,200m suits better. Flying Dragon made some ground from behind midfield. He's itching for a downgrade. Sensationally-backed Tomodachi Kokoroe weakened over the last 100m after rushing forward to press the pace from a low draw. He's still acclimatising. Early favourite California Deeply never got involved from towards the rear. It was an out-of-character performance.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (679) - TENPIN BOWLING 1000M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters

FLYING DRAGON and RUN RUN COOL jumped only fairly.

CHATEAU and JUMBO LEGEND bumped at the start.

Over the concluding stages, FLYING DRAGON raced tight between METRO WARRIOR (K Teetan) and PLEASANT ENDEAVOR which shifted out.

In this incident, FLYING DRAGON was accidentally struck across the nose by the whip of K Teetan.

When placed under pressure in the Straight, TOMODACHI KOKOROE was inclined to shift ground and proved difficult to ride out.

After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung (CALIFORNIA DEEPLY) expressed some concerns with his mount's action.

A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA DEEPLY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Before being allowed to race again, CALIFORNIA DEEPLY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of FLYING HIGH immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

PLEASANT ENDEAVOR, KA YING SPIRIT and RUN RUN COOL were sent for sampling.
