Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (652) - HUNG MUI KUK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
BEAR SLAM was crowded on jumping between YES WE CAN and VIVA HUNTER which was taken out by INTREPID WINNER.
PEGASUS HERO jumped awkwardly and lost ground and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
ADEFILL reared as the start was effected and as a result lost ground.
NORDIC STAR was slow to begin and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
From a wide barrier, PERFECT TEAM was also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
CAN'T GO WONG raced keenly in the middle stages.
Approaching the 600 Metres, YES WE CAN became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of PEGASUS HERO.
Near the 350 Metres, when endeavouring to improve to the outside of ADEFILL, CAN'T GO WONG shifted out and made contact with PERFECT TEAM, resulting in CAN'T GO WONG becoming unbalanced when awkwardly placed close to the heels of ADEFILL.
In this incident, PERFECT TEAM then shifted out and made contact with the hindquarters of MALDIVES.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres, VIVA HUNTER was held up for clear running.
ATOMIC BEAUTY raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, B Avdulla (PEGASUS HERO) advised that his mount, when racing towards the rear of the field, resented the kickback and failed to travel throughout the early and middle stages.
A veterinary inspection of PEGASUS HERO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, R Maia (INTREPID WINNER) reported that his mount was not comfortable racing inside other horses and did not stretch out when asked for an effort in the Straight.

Erimo won going away, hitting the front 300m out after his one-out, one-back run to record his third victory this season and first on the surface following an eye-catching second on his dirt debut. If he remains in Class Three, he could win again. Favourite Adefill stayed on nicely for second place after his slow start and wide trip in midfield. It was another good run on this surface despite his rise in trip. Nordic Star dashed late from the rear of the field to just miss a the quinella spot. He caught the eye two runs ago on his first try over this course and distance. Perfect Team ran on well after being ridden for luck from gate 13 to just miss a placing. It was his best run from five local starts. He enjoyed his switch to the all-weather track. Fiery Diamond gradually faded after his pace-stalking run. He performed all right despite his rise in trip. Maldives came from last to finish next best, making his run deep with cover from behind midfield. He had to cover too much ground. Skyey Supreme knocked up over the final 150m after getting his way in front. He needs Class Four.
