Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (337) - PING SHAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters
On arrival at the Start, DECRYPT was found to have sustained a minor laceration to the left front fetlock.
DECRYPT was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
YOUNG BRILLIANT shifted out at the start and brushed CAPITAL LEGEND.
STRAIGHT ARRON was bumped on jumping by VOYAGE BUBBLE which shifted out.
HAVA NAGEELA shifted out at the start and bumped ERIMO which became unbalanced and shifted in, resulting in HAVA NAGEELA being taken in onto STRAIGHT ARRON.
HAVA NAGEELA then lost its right hind plate shortly after the start.
HAPPY TOGETHER shifted in on jumping and bumped SECRET VISION.
CAPITAL LEGEND travelled keenly in the early stages and passing the 800 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
Near the 1550 Metres, SECRET VISION got its head on the side and lay in away from NEVER TOO SOON.
YOUNG BRILLIANT, which was following, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SECRET VISION in consequence.
Near the 1450 Metres, HAVA NAGEELA was crowded for room between ERIMO and HAPPY TOGETHER which got its head on the side and lay out.
Passing the 1300 Metres, HAVA NAGEELA became unbalanced after being bumped by HAPPY TOGETHER which was taken out by CAPITAL LEGEND which, when continuing to travel keenly, shifted out away from the heels of SECRET VISION.
After this, HAVA NAGEELA was left racing wide and without cover and was allowed to improve its position after the 1100 Metres to race outside the lead approaching the 700 Metres.
For some distance after the 700 Metres, DECRYPT raced in restricted room between YOUNG BRILLIANT and GOLDEN EMPIRE.
LA CITY BLANCHE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Passing the 400 Metres, GOLDEN EMPIRE was shifted in away from the heels of IMPERIAL MAGEE.
After the race, C Y Ho stated that stepping up to 1600 Metres today, CAPITAL LEGEND was taken wider after the 600 Metres when racing without cover.
He said because of these circumstances CAPITAL LEGEND was not able to finish the race off strongly in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of CAPITAL LEGEND immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small abrasion to the right hind fetlock.
A veterinary inspection of NEVER TOO SOON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
VOYAGE BUBBLE and HAPPY TOGETHER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Voyage Bubble led and just held off the late surge of Happy Together after shaking off a challenge by Hava Nageela 900m out. He handled the rise in trip after knocking on the door in his first two 1,400m runs this term. Happy Together dashed nicely through the middle from last at the top of the straight to make it close on the wire. He's come into his own in his past three of four local starts and will be winning shortly. La City Blanche came from near last down the outside to get the head down for third. It was a vastly improved effort after finding little on his local debut on the dirt. Erimo stayed on well for fourth after getting posted wide without cover from gate 13 until finding a one-off spot better than midfield 800m out. It was a pleasing run. Secret Vision made ground late to finish next best after a wide with cover trip from behind midfield. Hava Nageela grudgingly gave way after driving forward four wide to vie for the lead 900m out. It wasn't a bad effort after getting no favours. Happy Day ran on without menacing ridden towards the rear. He got too far back on the back of a muddle pace.
