Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (297) - THE CHINESE CLUB CHALLENGE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class G3 - 1400Meters
MORE THAN THIS was withdrawn on 29.12.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right front fetlock).
Before being allowed to race again, MORE THAN THIS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BLAZE WARRIOR began only fairly and then was bumped by THE GOLDEN SCENERY on jumping.
BEAUTY JOY lost its left front plate at the entrance to the Straight.
Approaching the 150 Metres, BEAUTY JOY lay out under pressure, resulting in FANTASTIC TREASURE being momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of BLAZE WARRIOR.
A veterinary inspection of FANTASTIC TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY SWEYNESSE and HEALTHY HAPPY were sent for sampling.

Odds-on favourite Lucky Sweynesse won easily after rushing to the front 150m out following a speed-tracking run on the fence carrying top weight to remain perfect in two 1,400m starts. He's now won eight of 12 starts after a luckless run in the HK sprint and remains one to follow. Healthy Happy kept on gamely for second after getting his own way in front. He's always a chance over this trip. The Golden Scenery came from last to fill a placing. It was another honest performance up in grade off a light weight. Beauty Joy ran on steadily without ever looking a threat after a prominent run on the fence. The big weight appeared to anchor him. Blaze Warrior never really got into the act traveling second last in the compact field. He couldn't cope with the rise in class after a last-start win. Specked at late in betting, Fantastic Treasure faded to finish last after getting posted wide without cover chasing the speed the entire trip. He had an excuse.
