Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (157) - SEYMOUR HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
DRAGON ADMIRAL began awkwardly and lost ground.
CALIFORNIA DEEPLY was slow to begin.
SAVVY DELIGHT shifted out at the start and bumped HEROIC MASTER which in turn shifted out and bumped HIGH RISE SOLDIER.
CLASSIC POSH was steadied in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail.
Approaching the 600 Metres, SAVVY DELIGHT raced tight inside SPONTANEOUS which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the crowding to SAVVY DELIGHT.
After this, SPONTANEOUS was left racing wide and without cover.
HARMONY FIRE made the Home Turn awkwardly and shifted out.
Passing the 300 Metres, SERGEANT PEPPER got its head on the side and lay in.
SERGEANT PEPPER and SPECIAL M raced tight passing the 200 Metres and approaching the 150 Metres bumped.
After this, SPECIAL M got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of HARMONY FIRE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HEROIC MASTER and SUPER AXIOM were sent for sampling.

Odds-on favourite Heroic Master won going away after his rail run better than midfield. He lived up to his eye-catching debut over this trip last month, and he can win again. Super Axiom kept on gamely to finish a clear second after easily finding the front from barrier 11. He has given good sights to fill the frame in each of his three Valley 1,000m runs this season. Special M plugged away chasing the speed without cover from gate 12 to place with top weight. He is very honest over this Valley journey. Sergeant Pepper just held on to win a three-way battle for fourth after he chased the leader on the fence. His was another honest effort up in class. California Deeply ran on to just miss the frame after making his run behind midfield, In spite of his slow start, it was an encouraging debut run. High Rise Solider ran on nicely to share fifth after he bided his time three from the rear. He should be hard to beat down in grade over this course. Specked late, Spontaneous stayed on fairly well after a his wide-without-cover trip in midfield. Like the latter, he should be one to keep safe with Class Four looming large.
