Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (138) - GUANGZHOU HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
REWARDING TOGETHER, which made contact with a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race.
SILVER FIG began only fairly.
When being steadied on jumping with a view to being shifted across behind runners, ASTROLOGER was bumped by THE ROCK which shifted in.
After this, THE ROCK was also steadied and shifted across behind runners.
After travelling a short distance, GRATEFUL HEART was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PING HAI GALAXY which shifted out.
Passing the 800 Metres, MAJESTIC STAR momentarily raced tight inside the heels of BUDDIES which shifted in before being directed back out to relieve the crowding.
MAJESTIC STAR again raced in restricted room between PING HAI GALAXY and BUDDIES after the 700 Metres as BUDDIES was awkwardly placed close to the heels of CAMPIONE which shifted in.
After the 800 Metres, THE ROCK was taken wider by ASTROLOGER which shifted out.
After this, THE ROCK was steadied to obtain a trailing position behind ASTROLOGER.
CAMPIONE travelled wide and without cover until after the 700 Metres.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ASTROLOGER was awkwardly placed outside the heels of KEEP YOU WARM.
ASTROLOGER was then awkwardly placed close to the heels of KEEP YOU WARM for some distance after the 500 Metres.
At the entrance to the Straight, PING HAI GALAXY and CAMPIONE raced tight.
In the early part of the Straight, MAJESTIC STAR lay in under pressure and approaching the 200 Metres raced tight outside CAMPIONE which in turn raced tight outside PING HAI GALAXY which was taken out by HARMONY AND RICH.
After the 150 Metres, HARMONY AND RICH shifted out and brushed PING HAI GALAXY on a number of occasions.
Over the concluding stages, MAJESTIC STAR lay in under pressure and raced tight outside PING HAI GALAXY.
Throughout the race, BUDDIES travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of CAMPIONE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
REWARDING TOGETHER and FAMILY FOLKS were sent for sampling.

Favourite Rewarding Together kept finding after hitting the lead 200m out travelling midfield on the fence to ring up a fifth win from nine outings over this Valley trip. He showed his true colours after a tough run at Sha Tin. Family Folks ran on nicely to grab second after a one-off trip in midfield from an outside draw. He relished a return to his favourite Valley track after a solid effort at Sha Tin. Ping Hai Galaxy found a couple too good after a dream run. It was another good effort following a win in an easier class. Majestic Star ran on steadily to fill the frame after a one-off run better than midfield. The big weight took its toll after a win on the dirt. Grateful Heart was doing some nice work late from near the rear. It was another positive effort after a last-start placing on the dirt. Astrologer ran on without menacing after biding his time three from the rear. He again needed the run. Harmony And Rich led and was stopping 100m out. He's still to get on track after a tendon injury last year. Punted late Campione weakened after going forward three deep to prompt the pace from a wide gate.
