Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (87) - MAN YIU HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1650Meters
TELECOM FIGHTERS was withdrawn on 10.10.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).
SUNNY STAR was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore).
Before being allowed to race again, TELECOM FIGHTERS and SUNNY STAR will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After arriving at the barriers, M Chadwick was dislodged from JUMBO FORTUNE without incident.
FA FA and SAVAQUIN were steadied on jumping to obtain cover.
After travelling a short distance, CHARITY GO, which was racing tight outside EVERYONE'S DELIGHT which got its head on the side and shifted out, was bumped by BERLIN TANGO which shifted in.
Approaching the 400 Metres, FA FA was shifted to the inside of JUMBO FORTUNE which came under pressure.
FA FA was then held up for clear running behind CHARITY GO near the 350 Metres.
After the race, M Chadwick stated that he was asked to ride JUMBO FORTUNE positively in the early stages and ensure that he was able to clear BERLIN TANGO which was drawn immediately inside his mount.
He said after clearing BERLIN TANGO approaching the winning post on the first occasion, JUMBO FORTUNE did not appear to concentrate throughout the race when racing without cover.
He said JUMBO FORTUNE came under pressure after the 600 Metres and then did not finish the race off.
He added that after the race he recommended to connections that they consider adding blinkers to the gear carried by JUMBO FORTUNE in an attempt to have the horse focus more in its races and also suggested that JUMBO FORTUNE may be better suited when being able to trail another runner.
A veterinary inspection of JUMBO FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FA FA, BERLIN TANGO and EVERYONE'S DELIGHT were sent for sampling.

Berlin Tango got up in the last stride to deny long-time leader Everyone's Delight by a lip following his one-off-the-fence run better than midfield in the compact six-horse field. He was only just beaten over this course and distance in July and appeared to benefit from his unplaced run last month. Well-backed Everyone's Delight led as expected from gate one and was just touched off after turning the final bend two lengths in front of the chasing pack. He went a bit too quick in front. Savaquin came from last to fill a placing. He rarely produces a bad run at either track but does not have much upside around his current mark. Favourite Fa Fa only plodded over the final 150m after getting held up early in the straight following Vincent Ho Chak-yiu's patient ride one from the rear. He failed to back up his no-excuse third last month and may be on or near his mark. Charity Go faded gradually over the last 100m after getting every chance in the box seat. He is better suited over a longer trip and ridden quieter in the run. Jumbo Fortune weakened to finish last after his pace-stalking run. The tactics change backfired.
