Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (835) - JOY AND FUN HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters
SEIZING THE MOMENT began only fairly.
VOYAGE WARRIOR shifted out at the start and bumped BLAZE WARRIOR which was crowded for room inside BE READY.
Shortly after the start, MASTER DELIGHT became unbalanced when crowded for room between REWARDING TOGETHER which got its head on the side and shifted in and CZARSON which shifted out after beginning awkwardly and brushing LUCKY MORE.
From a wide barrier, GRATEFUL HEART was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Near the 950 Metres, BLAZE WARRIOR raced tight inside CZARSON which in turn was awkwardly placed inside REWARDING TOGETHER (M Chadwick) which shifted in before being directed out to relieve the tightening.
Then approaching the 800 Metres, REWARDING TOGETHER again shifted in, resulting in CZARSON and BLAZE WARRIOR being taken in and causing SEIZING THE MOMENT to race tight inside BLAZE WARRIOR.
M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground than he did on this occasion.
After the 800 Metres, GRATEFUL HEART was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 650 Metres, SEIZING THE MOMENT lay in and brushed the running rail.
TRILLION WIN travelled wide and without cover until approaching the 600 Metres.
After the race, J Moreira was not able to offer any explanation for the disappointing performance of JUMBO FORTUNE which he said did not finish the race off in the Straight after coming under heavy pressure rounding the Home Turn.
A veterinary inspection of JUMBO FORTUNE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LUCKY SWEYNESSE and REWARDING TOGETHER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Lucky Sweynesse kept up a strong gallop leading from gate 10 to easily notch a fifth win from seven starts. He earned the title of Champion Griffin a day earlier and the future looks very bright. Rewarding Together ran on well after a one-off trip behind midfield to easily take second 50m out. He continues to race consistently well. Specked late Be Ready stayed on well for third after a one-off trip in midfield. It was a good effort. Trillion Win finished next best after rushing forward three deep to sit second 800m out. It was another honest effort. Czarson made some ground late near the inside travelling behind midfield on the fence. It wasn't a bad run but prefer him in Class Three on his favourite dirt surface. Jumbo Fortune came up rather one-paced after saving ground in midfield. He wasn't up to the challenge in this grade despite a lighter weight.
