Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (786) - JERVOIS HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
READY PLAYER ONE was withdrawn on 27.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind and right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter RED MAJESTY (M L Yeung).
Before being allowed to race again, READY PLAYER ONE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
COPARTNER FIONN was slow to begin.
STORM LEGEND, which was leaning on the inside of its gate as the start was effected, began only fairly and then was crowded for room on jumping between RED MAJESTY and VICTORY SCHOLARS which shifted out.
NIMBLE NIMBUS shifted out at the start and brushed AMAZING ONE PLUS.
From the outside barrier, ESCAPE ROUTE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the 1400 Metres, COPARTNER AMBITION was awkwardly placed behind ROMAN TURBO.
Then approaching the 1300 Metres, VICTORY SCHOLARS and AMAZING ONE PLUS bumped as VICTORY SCHOLARS shifted in away from the heels of COPARTNER AMBITION.
Near the 1150 Metres, NIMBLE NIMBUS raced tight inside RED MAJESTY which got its head on the side and lay in away from the heels of THE ANOMALY.
Passing the 1000 Metres, STORM LEGEND raced tight inside the heels of COPARTNER AMBITION.
Passing the 600 Metres, VICTORY SCHOLARS and COPARTNER AMBITION raced tight.
Passing the 150 Metres, THE ANOMALY was momentarily awkwardly placed behind NIMBLE NIMBUS.
A veterinary inspection of COPARTNER AMBITION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NIMBLE NIMBUS, MY ECSTATIC and STORM LEGEND were sent for sampling.

My Ecstatic kept up a strong gallop after taking advantage of gate three to lead 1,300m out, landing a third win from his past four starts and securing back-to-back successes following a step up to the Valley mile. Storm Legend ran on nicely after saving ground behind midfield to grab second in deep stretch. He's been consistent. Favourite Nimble Nimbus lost second late after a box-seat run. It was another honest performance. Punted late, Win Win Fighter got going to fill the frame without menacing the top three after settling third last from a wide draw. He's run with merit twice in this grade after a Class Four success. Amazing One Plus had his chance after a rails run in midfield but came up one-paced over the last 100m. He just isn't good enough off his current mark. Escape Route got going late down the outside after making his run one from the rear from gate 12. He didn't get things run to suit in his first try over the Valley 1,650m here. The Anomaly weakened 100m out after a pace-stalking run from a wide draw. Copartner Ambition didn't fire travelling one-off behind midfield carrying top weight. The switch to the Valley and step up to a mile backfired.
