Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (779) - POK FU LAM RESERVOIR ROAD HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters
MALDIVES was crowded for room on jumping between TEMPEST EXPRESS and RUNNING AHEAD which shifted out.
FAULDS shifted out at the start and bumped READY TO WIN which was then crowded for room inside IGNITING.
COMING PATCH shifted out on jumping and brushed the hindquarters of COMMANDING MISSILE.
After this.
COMING PATCH and COMMANDING MISSILE were steadied to obtain cover.
RED TITAN shifted in at the start and bumped VOYAGE BUBBLE.
Passing the 1300 Metres, READY TO WIN was steadied away from the heels of FAULDS due to both horses shifting ground.
Then after the 700 Metres, READY TO WIN commenced to travel keenly and shifted out away from the heels of FAULDS after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.
Approaching the 50 Metres, RED TITAN shifted out and brushed FAULDS which then shifted out away from RED TITAN, causing READY TO WIN to be inconvenienced.
After the race, Z Purton stated that after shifting his mount to the outside of runners in the early part of the Straight, READY TO WIN struggled to make up ground and over the concluding stages finished the race off only fairly.
A veterinary inspection of READY TO WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

READY TO WIN, VOYAGE BUBBLE and MALDIVES were sent for sampling.

Punted late Voyage Bubble kept on gamely for a comfortable win after leading 250m out following a pace-stalking run from a wide draw. He relished a step up to 1,400m for a second win to go along with two seconds from five starts. Maldives took the short route home from towards the rear to grab second 150m out. He's as honest as the day is long. Gallant Crown came on nicely to grab a placing 50m out at long odds following a rails run behind midfield. It was his best run to date from eight outings over a range of distances at Sha Tin. Red Titan stayed on well for fourth after finding a spot one-off better than midfield from the widest gate. He's flashed ability in his five starts and can bob up at any moment. Faulds got up late for fifth with two wider out after a one-off trip behind midfield. It wasn't a bad effort trying 1,400m for the first time following a win last start over 1,200m in Class Four. Private Rocket had his chance after a box-seat run. He couldn't back up a near win 13 days back over the 1,200m. Tempest Express an on without menacing after biding his time five back on the fence. He's not far off a bottom.
