Recap by phillip woo
Punted late All For St Paul's took a trail behind the leader Bourbonaire before out-duelling that one in a thriller over the final 100m for a sixth career win. He's an honest racehorse and was able to build on a near front-running win last start. Bourbonaire nearly made all in a surprise lead role. It was a terrific effort despite a step back and distance and he'll be winning soon. Odds-on favourite Galaxy Witness loomed a winning chance 150m out but only plodded over the last 100m after a prominent run. He was in a higher grade and tackling a longer trip. Running Glory got going from towards the rear to take fourth without menacing the top three. The combination of a step back in distance and slow pace worked against him. Charity Grace ran on without menacing travelling one from the rear. He too was at the mercy of a paceless race. Looking Great didn't have much to offer after a prominent run. He's better suited over a longer trip in Class Three. Celestial Power just plodded after a midfield run. He was having his first run since November. Circuit Three never came on after a rails run in midfield.
