Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (719) - BOWEN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
PRANCE DRAGON was withdrawn on 31.5.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SCIENCE PATCH (K Teetan).
Before being allowed to race again, PRANCE DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
PRIDE OF EIGHT was slow to begin and then was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
COLOURFUL BARON began only fairly.
DECISIVE TWELVE shifted in at the start and bumped PING HAI GALAXY.
YO BEAUTY shifted in shortly after the start and inconvenienced SCIENCE PATCH.
YO BEAUTY then travelled wide and without cover until after the 650 Metres at which time LUCKY ARCHANGEL was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 600 Metres, RISING FROM ASHES lay out towards the heels of ROMAN TURBO.
SCIENCE PATCH, which was racing outside RISING FROM ASHES, shifted out away from that horse and then made the turn after the 600 Metres awkwardly.
When SCIENCE PATCH shifted out, LUCKY ARCHANGEL was inconvenienced.
Passing the 400 Metres, ROMAN TURBO was hampered as a result of having to be shifted out away from the heels of RISING FROM ASHES (J Moreira) which shifted out.
RISING FROM ASHES then made the Home Turn awkwardly.
J Moreira was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
In the early part of the Straight, ROMAN TURBO lay out under pressure.
RISING FROM ASHES and SUPER MISSION were sent for sampling.

Favourite Rising From Ashes shot clear 150m out after saving ground in midfield for the most part to open his win account at start six. The writing had been on the wall in his past two starts and he can win again. The late-fancied Super Mission ran on nicely with two wider out to edge Yo Beauty for second after making his run five back on the fence. It was a fine effort. Yo Beauty found a couple too good after working to the lead 300m out after sitting second in the run from a tricky gate. He was able to back up a second last start. Ping Hai Galaxy kept on all right to fill the frame after parking one-off in third. He's naturally returning to form in his three starts following a sesamoid injury. Lucky Archangel ran on late for a minor cheque after getting caught deep towards the rear from the widest draw. Roman Turbo just held his ground after slotting one-off with cover in midfield 1,000m out from a wide draw. He's hard to get right. Sparkling Dragon came up one-paced over the final 150m after getting held up early straight following a prominent run on the fence. Science Patch produced only a mild bid after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's struggled three times after a Class Four win in April.
