Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (700) - MIRS BAY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
GOOD SHOT lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and began only fairly.
GOOD SHOT was then shifted across behind runners to obtain a position closer to the rail.
From the outside barriers, ISLAND SHINE, TUCHEL and TO INFINITY were all steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
A short distance after the start, SMILING CITY raced tight inside JAZZ STEED which got its head on the side and shifted in.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, HO HO JUNIOR was crowded for room between SMILING CITY and EVER FORCE which shifted out.
Near the 50 Metres, TO INFINITY shifted in abruptly and bumped GOOD SHOT.
In the Straight, HO HO JUNIOR lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of REGENCY STAR and ISLAND SHINE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ABOVE ALL and SIX BEST FRIENDS were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Above All reeled in Six Best Friends 20m out after a one-out, one-back run for a third win from his past four starts. He's in great form and can win again in the grade. Long shot Six Best Friends wouldn't go down without a fight after dictating the run from gate eight. It was a vastly improved effort third up with a switch to the Valley. Ever Force kept plugging away to fill a placing after a box-seat run. He has been hovering around the finish in his past few runs following a downgrade. Smiling City stayed on a non-threatening fourth after a one-off run in midfield. It was another honest effort. Tuchel came from last with two wider out to nearly fill the frame. It was an eye-catching second-up effort and he's heading in the right direction. Punted late, Jazz Steed ran on without menacing after making his run three deep towards the rear. He had a tough run but is never easy to get right. Regency Star weakened after a pace-pressing run from a tricky gate. He got no favours and the big weight didn't help. Island Shine ran on without menacing down the outside after a wide trip towards the rear. He couldn't cope carrying nine pounds more following a win.
