Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (660) - LAM TSUEN RIVER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
SAVVY KINGMAN shifted out at the start and bumped DARCI JOY which in turn shifted out and bumped MAJESTIC VICTORY.
SURREALISM, which was being steadied on jumping with a view to obtaining cover, shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of GIFT OF LIFELINE.
Shortly after the start, READY PLAYER ONE was hampered when crowded for room outside GAMEPLAYER TIMES which got its head on the side and shifted out away from MAJESTIC VICTORY.
From wide barriers, VINCY and DR WINNING were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, READY PLAYER ONE (M Chadwick) and TIANCHI MONSTER bumped.
Then passing the 1300 Metres, READY PLAYER ONE was awkwardly placed behind GAMEPLAYER TIMES.
READY PLAYER ONE was then checked away from the heels of GAMEPLAYER TIMES passing the 900 Metres.
After the race, M Chadwick stated that READY PLAYER ONE would not relax in tonight's race and because of this was not able to finish the race off.
A veterinary inspection of READY PLAYER ONE immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
After the 800 Metres, DARCI JOY was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 650 Metres, CINQUANTE CINQ and DARCI JOY raced tight.
Near the 450 Metres, READY PLAYER ONE shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of MAJESTIC VICTORY.
When READY PLAYER ONE shifted out, SURREALISM improved into tight running inside that horse.
Rounding the Home Turn, VINCY became unbalanced after shifting in and bumping the running rail of its own accord.
Passing the 450 Metres, DR WINNING raced tight outside NEARLY FINE which improved to the outside of MAJESTIC VICTORY.
When questioned, K C Leung stated that from the outside barrier he was asked to attempt to position CINQUANTE CINQ in about midfield if possible.
He said after CINQUANTE CINQ began well, he did not ride his mount along with a view to obtaining cover in midfield, however, when a considerable number of runners drawn more favourably than CINQUANTE CINQ were being ridden to obtain about a midfield position, he allowed his mount to continue forward in the early stages as he believed it would not have been in the best interests of the horse to steady his mount and obtain a trailing position behind those horses.
He added that approaching the winning post on the first occasion CINQUANTE CINQ was left racing in a three wide position without cover and therefore passing the 1300 Metres he allowed his mount to improve forward of MAJESTIC VICTORY to obtain a position outside the lead which resulted in CINQUANTE CINQ racing in a more forward positon than had been intended.
After the race, it was reported that GAMEPLAYER TIMES was lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, GAMEPLAYER TIMES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MAJESTIC VICTORY and DARCI JOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NEARLY FINE, TIANCHI MONSTER and GAMEPLAYER TIMES were sent for sampling.

Tianchi Monster kept on strongly after taking off from behind midfield to easily lead 700m out, landing a second win over this Valley trip this season. He loves the 1,800m on either surface or course. Gameplayer Times stayed on second best without menacing the winner after a box-seat run. He's itching to get back into the winner's circle with placings in his past three starts. Nearly Fine ran on late to make it close for second after making his run two-to-three deep with cover behind midfield. It was another good run despite a rise in distance and class following a win. Surrealism ran on steadily along the inside to fill the frame after settling fourth last from a tricky gate. He tends to mix his form. Savvy Kingdom weakened in the run to the wire after getting no peace in front carrying top weight. He had an excuse. Dr Winning made ground without menacing widest out from the rear of the field. He prefers a faster strip. Darci Joy only plodded in the run to the wire after taking off while travelling one-off in midfield to chase the speed wide without cover 600m out. It wasn't a smart ride. Gift Of Lifeline made only a mild bid from towards the rear. He's a miler.
