Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (659) - SHAN PUI RIVER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
E RAINBOW, which was fractious in the barriers, lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently lost ground.
YEE CHEONG WARRIOR began only fairly.
SPICY GRILL was hampered on jumping when crowded for room inside NEW ASIA ADVANCE which shifted in.
NEW ASIA ADVANCE was then steadied to obtain cover in the early stages.
After being ridden along in the early stages, KOKUSHI MUSOU was steadied passing the 1100 Metres to obtain cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, WINS ALL was held up when racing close to the heels of HAPPY GATHERING.
WINS ALL was then shifted in away from the heels of HAPPY GATHERING passing the 300 Metres.
Passing the 150 Metres, YEE CHEONG WARRIOR was shifted in away from the heels of E RAINBOW which shifted in.
E RAINBOW, which was finishing the race off, was then directed to the inside of BINGO BINGO approaching the 50 Metres to continue improving.
After the race, L Hewitson stated that TAKE WHAT YOU NEED never travelled comfortably on tonight's track surface and was under heavy pressure throughout the race to maintain its position.
A veterinary inspection of TAKE WHAT YOU NEED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SPICY GRILL immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
Before being allowed to race again, SPICY GRILL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of MULTIMORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BINGO BINGO, ISLAND SHINE and WINS ALL were sent for sampling.

Specked late, Island Shine responded nicely to get up 50m out after a rails run in midfield for an upset win. He was well rated with a return to his preferred Valley course. Wins All stayed on well to grab second in deep stretch after a two-to-three wide trip in midfield. He lived up to a placing last start and can get away with a race before season's end. Shadow Runner just lost a quinella spot after working to the front rounding the final bend after chasing the speed with cover. It was another honest effort. Kokushi Musou finished nicely to fill the frame after slotting one-off behind midfield from a wide draw. He continues to race well after a win. Favourite Bingo Bingo had no excuse chasing the speed one-off the fence. E Rainbow ran on well after biding his time one from the rear after a slow start. It was an encouraging debut effort. Spicy Grill ran on without menacing down the outside after being ridden for luck from a tricky gate. He prefers a faster course. Happy Gathering only plodded after a handy run. He continues to find it hard after a win back in October. Multimore didn't get the trip after finding the front from a wide gate 850m out. He's a 1,000m horse.
