Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (597) - CHA KWO LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
COLOURFUL BARON began only fairly and then was crowded for room between MERIDIAN GENIUS and PRANCE DRAGON which shifted in.
After this, COLOURFUL BARON and PRANCE DRAGON were steadied to obtain cover.
After the 1100 Metres, NEVER TOO SOON got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover behind TRIPLE TRIPLE which itself was being steadied to obtain a trailing position behind RISING FROM ASHES.
After initially being ridden along from the outside barrier, YOU'REMYEVERYTHING was steadied passing the 1000 Metres to obtain cover behind NEVER TOO SOON.
Passing the 800 Metres, NEVER TOO SOON got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed behind TRIPLE TRIPLE.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, FAULDS became badly unbalanced after shifting in and brushing the running rail of its own accord.
This resulted in FAULDS shifting out and inconveniencing MERIDIAN GENIUS.
At the entrance to the Straight, TRIPLE TRIPLE raced tight outside RISING FROM ASHES which shifted out to obtain clear running.
Then approaching the 250 Metres, TRIPLE TRIPLE again raced tight outside RISING FROM ASHES which lay out under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of YOU'REMYEVERYTHING and TRIPLE TRIPLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NEVER TOO SOON, NAMJONG SINGS and RISING FROM ASHES were sent for sampling.

Namjong Sings just held on for the win after pinging to the front from gate one. It was a return to top form after winning first-up off a rating a point higher. Rising From Ashes ran on nicely to finish a close second after a box-seat run. He proved a placing last start was not a fluke. Favourite Never Too Soon ran on well down the outside to finish a close third after making his run one-off in midfield. He bounced back from a few dull runs following a return to the Valley and a riding change to Zac Purton. Wild West Wing kept plugging away to finish a distant fourth after a pace-stalking run. It wasn't a bad run but prefer him in Class Four. Triple Triple just held his ground to finish well back in fifth after travelling effectively one-out, one-back. He found it harder following a win in Class Four. Meridian Genius ran on without ever looking a threat after biding his time three from the rear. He requires a stronger pace. Faulds was again disappointing following a rails run in midfield but will be looking forward to Class Four next time out. You'remyeverything never got into the act settling second last from the widest draw. He was resuming off a 105-day break but has disappointed four times after a debut win.
