Racing Incident Report
Race One: (585) - WINDY GAP HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters
ERNEST FEELING shifted in at the start and bumped GOLDEN FOUR.
MISSION SMART began awkwardly.
STAR OF RED began awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in RED BRICK FIGHTER being crowded for room inside AMAZING NEWS which was bumped by RED BRICK FIGHTER.
From a wide barrier, VICTORIOUS LEADER was steadied on jumping and shifted across behind runners.
Also from wide barriers, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE and MOONLUCK were steadied to obtain cover in the early stages.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, DRAGON BABY travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover.
Passing the 1100 Metres, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of AMAZING NEWS which itself was awkwardly placed behind VIVA CHEF.
After this, AMAZING NEWS travelled keenly.
After the 1100 Metres, ERNEST FEELING travelled keenly.
Passing the 800 Metres, DRAGON BABY was steadied away from the heels of ERNEST FEELING.
WINWIN THIRTYTHREE had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
SICOMORO was held up for clear running from near the 350 Metres until passing the 200 Metres.
Throughout the race, RED BRICK FIGHTER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of STAR OF RED immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of SPEEDY DRAGON immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
MISSION SMART, RED BRICK FIGHTER and AMAZING NEWS were sent for sampling.

Red Brick Fighter drew clear after hitting the front 250m out after chasing the speed wide without cover from a middle gate. He has a strong record down in Class Five. Amazing News dashed well to grab second in deep stretch after a one-off run behind midfield. Firming favourite Mission Smart grudgingly gave way after dictating the run from gate three. He's close to a win. Ernest Feeling just failed to fill a placing after a handy run twoto- three deep with cover behind the winner. It was a better run following a downgrade. Seize The Spirit made ground late near the outside to just miss the frame after making his run deep among the backmarkers from a wide draw. He's racing well without winning. Victorious Leader made ground late through the middle travelling second last after a tardy break from an outside draw. He rarely produces a bad effort over this trip. Winwin Thirtythree ran on without threatening after easing back to last from a wide draw. It was a typical effort. Dragon Baby just plodded when asked for an effort following a one-off run in midfield. It was a disappointing effort despite a downgrade.
