Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (533) - KWAI SHING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
CAMPIONE shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced CALL ME TEDDY.
From the outside barriers, PROUD DRAGON, MAJESTIC KNIGHT and KUMASI were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
In the early stages, POWER KOEPP travelled keenly when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover.
Then passing the 800 Metres, POWER KOEPP was left racing wide and without cover.
At the entrance to the Straight, POWER KOEPP was awkwardly placed outside the heels of CALL ME TEDDY which shifted to the outside of PHOENIX LIGHT.
POWER KOEPP then lay in and passing the 400 Metres was steadied away from the heels of CALL ME TEDDY.
POWER KOEPP continued to race tight outside CALL ME TEDDY which in turn raced tight outside PHOENIX LIGHT which shifted out marginally and then was shifted to the outside of KUMASI passing the 300 Metres to obtain clear running after being disappointed for running between that horse and CALL ME TEDDY.
Approaching the 150 Metres, CALL ME TEDDY lay in towards the heels of PHOENIX LIGHT.
CALL ME TEDDY was then awkwardly placed outside the heels of PHOENIX LIGHT passing the 100 Metres.
Approaching the 100 Metres, PROUD DRAGON, which was laying in, was shifted to the inside of WIND N GRASS.
After the race, A Badel stated that, in his opinion, PROUD DRAGON was disappointing today as the horse did not close off as strongly as anticipated after being placed under pressure in the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of PROUD DRAGON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CAMPIONE and BEAUTY MISSION were sent for sampling.

Campione led and kept on gamely to just deny favourite Beauty Mission for the win at just his second local start. He was able to build on an eye-catching debut and has the tools to hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Beauty Mission was closing with every stride to make it close on the wire after a prominent run on the fence. He seems to be heading in the right direction following a surprise placing last start but may require 1,400m or even a mile going forward. Wind N Grass just held on for third after a midfield run. He relished a downgrade but is more effective at the Valley. Kumasi came from last to just miss a placing. It was another honest effort. Majestic Knight came from near last to nearly fill the frame. He's given a decent shout in both 1,200m starts and is clearly crying out for a longer trip. Phoenix Light gradually faded after travelling effectively one-out, one-back. He's still acclimatising. Punted late Proud Dragon never got into the act settling third last from a wide draw. He wasn't suited by the muddling pace. Easy Snip faded to finish among the backmarkers after working hard to get to second from a tricky gate 900m out.
