Recap by phillip woo
In a seven-horse field, My Sugar fought back to get the upper hand 100m out after briefly getting headed for the lead 150m out for a third win from five starts this term. He got a race run to suit leading as expected from gate one. C P Brave just found one too good leading 150m out following a dream run in the box-seat. It was a better effort with a return to the course and distance of a win in January. Punted late E Star kept plugging away to finish a close third following a pace-stalking run from the widest draw. He's close to a win. Looking Great stayed on fourth best after a prominent run. He prefers a longer trip. Circuit Three ran on steadily to just miss a spot in the frame after settling second last on the fence after a slow start. He needs a stronger pace. Odds-on favourite Beauty Fit just plodded when asked for an effort after making his run one off towards the rear. Like the latter, he was at the mercy of a pedestrian pace. Charity Go never came on from the rear of the field. He didn't get a race run to suit and is more effective nowadays over longer trips.
