Recap by phillip woo
Punted late to start favourite Enjoying had just enough in the tank for a wire-to-wire win after getting his own way in front at slow fractions. It was an overdue win at his 20th start but had been knocking on the door. Butterfield came on strongly from last at the top of the straight in a slowly run race to edge Charity Go for second. It was a solid performance down in grade carrying top weight. Charity Go came on well along the inside to just miss second after straightening one from the rear. He's racing consistently well. Berlin Tango loomed a winning chance at the 200m after chasing the speed one off the fence but had no more to offer 50m out. He has been costly and might require a drop into Class Three to score an elusive win. Looking Great found nothing when push came to shove after settling box-seat. It was a surprisingly flat effort after a last-start win over the 2,000m. Early favourite California Ten never landed a blow travelling a distant fourth along the fence. He wasn't suited by the race tempo after a nice win last start over the 1,600m.
