Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (355) - CHEUNG CHAU HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
As the start was effected, ALL IN MIND reared and then lost further ground after being bumped by WOOD ON FIRE which, as the start was effected, also reared and shifted in abruptly.
Both ALL IN MIND and WOOD ON FIRE will be required to stalls test satisfactorily prior to being permitted to race again.
DIAMOND BRILLIANT was crowded for room on jumping between MOMENTUM GALAXY and MAJESTIC STAR which shifted in.
In this incident, MAJESTIC STAR became unbalanced after being bumped by DIAMOND BRILLIANT.
From wide barriers, TORONADO PHANTOM, TRANSCENDENT and SIMPLY FLUKE were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, SIMPLY FLUKE was checked away from the heels of TORONADO PHANTOM which was being steadied to obtain cover behind TRANSCENDENT.
Throughout the race, CALIFORNIA CONCORD travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of WOOD ON FIRE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TORONADO PHANTOM, LOVING A BOOM and EASON were sent for sampling.

Addition to Racing Incidents Report of 16 January 2022 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 7 (343) Inside the 50 Metres, A Hamelin's (KING'S CAPITAL) left foot slipped from the stirrup iron.

Loving A Boom got up in the dying stages for a well-deserved win after a rails run in midfield. He had been racing consistently well since his last win in 2019. Eason kept on gamely for second after punching the breeze outside the leader Majestic Star from a wide draw. It was a fine effort up in grade trying the Valley for the first time after a win and second over the Sha Tin 1,200m. Let's Do It stayed on well to get the head down for third after a prominent run on the fence. He did catch the eye two back over the 1,400m and the switch to the Valley nearly worked the oracle. Early favourite Majestic Star succumbed late after quickly finding the lead from a middle draw. He's given a decent sight in both outings this term and can break through at any moment. Late-fancied Toronado Phantom ran on well to just miss the frame after a patient ride fourth from the rear. It was a good run following a win in Class Four. Simply Fluke came up flat 100m out after looming a chance 200m out with his move from towards the rear. The quick back-up from a placing last Wednesday may have taken its toll. Transcendent kept on evenly near the outside after a one-off trip worse than midfield. He's on his mark after a win in October. All In Mind ran on OK after badly missing the start.
