Fancied to jump favourite Flying Ace won geared down after cruising to the front 300m out after a box-seat run. It was another impressive win after a debut success at Happy Valley and his future is very bright. Newcomer Leslie weaved a run near the inside to get up for second travelling fifth last coming to the final bend after a sluggish start. He lived up to his trials and just found one smarter on the day. Another newcomer Beauty Live caught the eye with a bold run down the outside to nearly fill the quinella spot after a deep run fourth from the rear. He clearly has a promising future ahead of him. Wisdom Patch ran on steadily after a deep with cover run behind midfield from gate 14 to just edge Fun N Glory for fourth. It was his best run to date from 12 starts with a step up in distance. Fun N Glory kept on reasonably well after getting cast three-to-four deep in midfield. He's heading in the right direction after showing promise in his two starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (299) - PALM HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

On arrival at the Start, it was noted that NOBLE BOYZ had blood in its mouth.

NOBLE BOYZ was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

LESLIE was crowded for room on jumping between COOLCELEB and BUDDY SPIRIT, both of which shifted ground.

In this incident, COOLCELEB became unbalanced and then despite being ridden along for some distance in the early stages failed to muster speed.

BUDDY SPIRIT also lost ground in this incident.

From the outside barrier, WISDOM PATCH was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.

FUN N GLORY was left racing wide and without cover approaching the 800 Metres.

After the 100 Metres, WISDOM PATCH was shifted in away from the heels of BEAUTY LIVE (J Moreira) which shifted in under pressure.

J Moreira was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Throughout the race, FLYING ON THE TURF travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, B Shinn stated that with the blinkers being reapplied to TRADER today, the horse travelled too keenly in the lead to allow it the opportunity to finish off the race.

A veterinary inspection of TRADER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FLYING ACE and LESLIE were sent for sampling.
