Carroll Street responded nicely to take control 80m out after settling behind midfield near the stands side to ring up a fourth career win from eight starts. He relished a return to his favourite straight 1,000m. Cordyceps Six did everything right but found one too smart after working to the lead 250m out following a prominent run. It was another fine effort over this trip. Alcari stayed on nicely from midfield along the stands side to overhaul Super Fortune in the dying stages for third. It was a good performance carrying more weight following a win. Super Fortune was given every chance in front and wasn't good enough in the drive to the wire. The early hype blown up in his face in back-to-back runs at this level following an easy debut win in Class Four. Punted late Run Run Cool nearly got up to grab fourth after settling behind midfield near the far side. He's produced mixed results in his three runs over this trip. Kumasi kept on all right despite being held up behind the tiring Metro Warrior until the 200m following a handy run in the center of the track. It was an encouraging run on debut. Metro Warrior didn't have much in the tank over the final 100m after chasing the speed near the far side.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (288) - EQUESTRIAN 1000M HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters

METRO WARRIOR began very awkwardly, shifted in and bumped SPECIAL M, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

CARROLL STREET shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of SUPER FORTUNE, resulting in CARROLL STREET losing ground and SUPER FORTUNE becoming unbalanced.

After travelling a short distance, PROSECCO was crowded for room between TURIN WARRIOR and RUN RUN COOL which shifted in.

After this, TURIN WARRIOR and PROSECCO were shifted across behind runners.

Approaching the 600 Metres, TRIPLE TRIPLE raced in restricted room between KUMASI which was racing tight inside CORDYCEPS SIX and METRO WARRIOR which shifted out.

Near the 250 Metres, ALCARI was awkwardly placed outside the heels of SUPER FORTUNE which shifted out away from CORDYCEPS SIX.

SUPER FORTUNE, CARROLL STREET and CORDYCEPS SIX were sent for sampling.
