Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (232) - PERIDOT HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
PARTY EVERYDAY stumbled on jumping.
KING'S CAPITAL shifted out at the start and bumped ULTRA EXPRESS which was crowded for room inside ELITE PATCH which itself was racing tight inside STAR OF YUEN LONG.
In this incident, STAR OF YUEN LONG became unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by ELITE PATCH.
GAMEPLAYER TIMES began only fairly and then was crowded for room between INFINITE POWER and GOLD COMET.
From the outside barriers, CROSSFORD and ROYAL PRIDE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
SUPER WIN DRAGON was also steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier shortly after the start.
ELITE PATCH travelled very keenly in the middle stages and near the 1200 Metres was steadied away from the heels of READY PLAYER ONE.
After this, ELITE PATCH continued to travel keenly when racing close to the heels of READY PLAYER ONE.
For the majority of the race, FARSHAD travelled wide and without cover and near the 700 Metres was taken wider by ELITE PATCH which, when continuing to be awkwardly placed behind READY PLAYER ONE, was shifted out away from the heels of that horse.
Rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight, PARTY EVERYDAY lay out under pressure.
Throughout the race, GOLD COMET travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of STAR OF YUEN LONG immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
INFINITE POWER and ULTRA EXPRESS were sent for sampling.

Well-backed late Infinite Power led and kept up a strong gallop to make all for a third win from his past four starts at his first start on the surface. He makes his own luck in front and can win again in the grade. Favourite Ultra Express ran on nicely after saving ground in midfield to finish a close second. It was another fine effort carrying top weight following a win. Elite Patch closed well to place after a wide with cover run behind midfield. He ran well on a biased-for-speed track and is a winner ready to happen. Crossford ran on reasonably well to fill the frame after making his run five back on the fence from gate 13. He's flashed potential in a couple of his four runs on both surfaces. Super Win Dragon got going late down the outside after settling third last from a wide draw. He didn't get race conditions to suit. Ready Player One kept on all right after a wide trip in midfield from an outside draw. It was a positive debut performance. Party Everyday weakened 100m out after being hustled along to hold a prominent run on the fence. The change in tactics trying to match the speed bias backfired. Star Of Yuen Long faded badly after a pace-stalking run. He's not racing well and requires a downgrade.
