Recap by phillip woo
Favourite We The South led and never looked back for a comfortable win. He's now a sixtime winner over this Valley trip but it wasn't a strong field. Brilliant Fortune kept on well for second chasing the speed three deep until slotting one off outside the winner from the 600m. He's honest but has trouble winning. Well-backed late, Seizing The Moment got going late for a minor placing after making his run among the backmarkers after a slow start. He's run with merit once at each track but is crying out for a longer trip. Wind Speeder just held his ground settling on the leader's back. It was his best run to date from eight starts trying the Valley 1,200m for the first time. New import Ginson kept on evenly after travelling two-to-three deep ahead of midfield from a wide gate. He had an excuse and do expect him to come on for the run. Good View Clarico weakened chasing the speed one off the fence. He's not racing well and prefers racing at Sha Tin. Spontaneous never came on from towards the rear. He's just not the same horse this season. Newcomer Astro King never looked a chance travelling one from the rear. He'll need time to acclimatise.
