Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed to jump favourite Sight Success edged clear in the run to the wire after getting pressured to his outside by Handsome Bo Bo to return to score in a class record time. He's very smart on his day and made full use of gate one carrying a light weight. Topweight Handsome Bo Bo couldn't match the winner in the run to the wire punching the breeze from the widest gate. The 13-pound swing in the weights was the difference in the end. Early favourite Kurpany stayed on a non-threatening third after a one-out, oneback run. It was another honest effort over this course and distance. Thumped late in betting, Valiant Dream made some ground late along the inside without menacing the topthree travelling better than midfield. He's on his mark. Hong Kong Win never really got into the act from towards the rear. He's likely on his mark after copping a sharp four-point penalty for a non-threatening fifth in a Group race. Loving A Boom only beat a couple of stragglers from the rear of the field. He might be looking forward to a drop in class. Classic Unicorn was never a factor after failing to muster his usual speed travelling midfield. It was an out-of-character effort.
