Recap by phillip woo
Firming to jump a short favourite Savvy Kingman was racing keenly early on but still went pillar-to-post for a comfortable win. The win was overdue after placing in his past three starts and he should remain competitive up in grade off a light weight. Methane just held off Dionysus Collin after racing to second 50m out following a one-out, one-back run. He keeps promising with seconds in five straight runs. Dionysus Collin closed strongly to just miss second after making his run three back on the fence. He's returned in good heart for his new trainer. Winning Volatility came up one-paced after a box-seat run. It was an honest effort carrying more weight following a June success. Murray's Partners made ground late without menacing from the rear after a slow start. He hasn't disgraced in either start this season but is still finding his legs. Plunged late Red Elysees was a beaten runner 150m out following a pace-stalking run. He hasn't been himself in his three starts this term and age may be taking its toll. Victorious Seeker only held his ground after a one-off trip in midfield. He requires a longer trip.
