Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (74) - TIANJIN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
SKY FOREVER began only fairy.
From wide barriers, FEARLESS FIRE and WIND SPEEDER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
MARVEL DRAGON lifted its front feet off the ground on jumping, shifted in and bumped THE GOLDEN SCENERY.
When questioned, H T Mo stated that he was instructed to obtain cover on MARVEL DRAGON.
He said it was felt that if the horse were ridden positively from barrier 10, a lot of use would have to be made of the horse and there was a possibility that MARVEL DRAGON would be left racing wide and without cover.
He said as this was the horse's first run this season, it was believed that its best opportunity to finish off the race would be to be ridden quietly in the early stages and obtain cover rather than being ridden along in the early stages and not being able to finish off the race.
Near the 750 Metres, THE GOLDEN SCENERY was awkwardly placed behind THE MULTIPLIER.
Approaching the 100 Metres, QUADRUPLE DOUBLE lay out and raced tight inside the hindquarters of DROPS OF GOD.
Throughout the race, THE RUNNER travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of THE GOLDEN SCENERY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DROPS OF GOD and BE READY were sent for sampling.

Addition to Racing Incidents Report from 26 September 2021 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 8 (62) IMA SINGLE MAN had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and passing the 300 Metres was steadied away from the heels of FIVE ELEMENTS.

Racing Laboratory tests of FAIRY FLOSS, GAMEPLAYER TIMES, TOYCOON, GLENEALY GENERALS, CORDYCEPS SIX, SMART IDEA, EL VALIENTE, APOLAR WARRIOR, CROWN AVENUE, LUCKY MARYKNOLL, HAPPY TIME, KING OF THE COURT, DECISIVE ACTION, SPEED FAY FAY, BEAUTY SPIRIT, SOLAR POWER, SUNNY BABY, LEAP OF FAITH, ENTRUSTED, ENZEMBLE, DROPS OF GOD, NAMJONG SINGS, CALIFORNIA CIBLE, DRAGON FORTUNE, HALL OF CHAMP, C P BRAVE and HIGHLAND FORTUNE (19.9.21) proved negative.

Post-time favourite Drops Of God kept on gamely after getting the measure of Quadruple Double 200m out following a pace-stalking run to up his impressive record to three wins from six starts. He clearly benefitted from a run 12 days back and should hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Be Ready stayed on nicely after a prominent run on the fence to edge Quadruple Double for second. He continues to raise his game despite a switch to Sha Tin after some fine Valley form last season. Quadruple Double grudgingly gave way after leading from gate three. He's as honest as the day is long. Well-backed late Winning For All made steady progress along the inside from midfield to just take fourth. He has a bottom in sight. Marvel Dragon closed off strongly down the outside to just miss the frame despite still trailing the field until the 200m. It was a big effort at his first start since in April. Early favourite The Golden Scenery ran on without menacing after a wide run behind midfield. It's back to the drawing board after failing with heavy market support in both outings this term. The Runner came up one-paced in the final 200m after chasing the speed deep without cover.
