Racing Incident Report
Race One: (19) - SAU MAU PING HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1600Meters
JOLLY FOREVER began only fairly, then shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of JIMMU which became unbalanced.
GRAND POWER began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between CIGAR BUDDIES and DAZZLING FEELING which shifted out.
From a wide barrier, SUPER HONG KONG was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, DAILY CHARM failed to muster speed.
Approaching the 1500 Metres, DAZZLING FEELING got its head on the side and lay out and then approaching the 1100 Metres momentarily raced tight inside the heels of THE ELITES.
For some distance approaching and passing the 1000 Metres, CIGAR BUDDIES proved difficult to settle and got its head up when awkwardly placed behind DAZZLING FEELING.
Then near the 950 Metres, CIGAR BUDDIES shifted in away from the heels of DAZZLING FEELING, resulting in DIAMOND STAR being inconvenienced.
After the 1000 Metres, RIGHTEOUS WIN was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 300 Metres, DIAMOND STAR shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of JOLLY FOREVER.
DIAMOND STAR was then held up for clear running from passing the 200 Metres until approaching the 100 Metres.
After the 200 Metres, DAILY CHARM lay in under pressure and then shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
A veterinary inspection of DAZZLING FEELING immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of CIGAR BUDDIES and JOLLY FOREVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JIMMU, LIGHT MY DAY and DAILY CHARM were sent for sampling.

Well-backed late Light My Day went forward from a wide gate to eventually find the fence on the lead 1,000m out, straightened two lengths on top and kept on gamely for the win. It was a return to form after disappointing 12 starts after a second-up win last season off a much higher mark. Daily Charm was making good ground late with every stride from behind midfield to finish a close second in the end. He relished a return to Class Five. Specked late Righteous Win stayed on well after a wide without cover trip in midfield to place without menacing the quinella pair. He was building towards a win last season. Super Hong Kong came from a distant last and widest out to nearly place. He was suited by a downgrade and likely wants a further trip. Favourite Jimmu came up one-paced when asked for an effort travelling better than midfield on the inside. He needed the run. Diamond Star was short of room at times when trying to rally near the inside following a patient ride third from the rear. He should have finished closer. Jolly Forever came up flat after recovering from a sluggish start to travel midfield on the fence 1,000m out. He's not reliable after filling a placing on opening day.
