Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (799) - THE SWAINE CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 5 - 1400Meters
ANONYMA, which was difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again.
THE ELITES began only fairly and then on jumping was steadied away from the heels of ATHENA which shifted in.
STAR OF RED and PRIME TIME bumped at the start.
BREEZE OF SPRING shifted out at the start and bumped NOBLE MAN.
From wide barriers, ALL THE WAY, GOLDEN FOUR and THIS IS CHARISMA were all steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
After the 900 Metres, OURGOLDENRULES was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 800 Metres, BREEZE OF SPRING was awkwardly placed behind FOX CHEUNGER.
GOLDEN FOUR, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
REGENCY POET was taken wider and without cover passing the 700 Metres when PRIME TIME shifted out away from behind ANONYMA.
Rounding the Home Turn, BREEZE OF SPRING was awkwardly placed behind GOLD 'N' BOLD.
Passing the 300 Metres, GOLD 'N' BOLD shifted out and brushed NOBLE MAN.
A veterinary inspection of REGENCY POET immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BREEZE OF SPRING and FOX CHEUNGER were sent for sampling.

Favourite Breeze Of Spring easily gobbled up Fox Cheunger in deep stretch for the win after shifting into the open 200m out following a patient ride fourth last. All thanks to the handicapper who docked him four points to get into Class Five despite running on well for fourths in two prior starts. Fox Cheunger found one too smart after sweeping to the lead 200m out following a one-off run behind midfield. He was able to back up a last-start win. Golden Four closed well to just take third without menacing the quinella pair but it was a return to form following a downgrade. Punted late This Is Charisma ran on nicely down the outside to nearly place after covering ground towards the rear from the widest draw. He's just hasn't been able to get into a rhythm in an injury-prone campaign and relished the downgrade here. Athena kept on all right after a one-off run fore of midfield. It was his best run to date at his 10th start. Star Of Red just held his ground after a prominent run on the fence. It was a shade better effort following a downgrade. Well-backed late Regency Poet was stopping 200m out chasing the speed three deep without cover from gate 12. He had an excuse.
