Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Stock Legend just overhauled Equaletta Blitz in the final few metres for the win after jumping nicely to track the speed one-off in third. He's really come into his own to win four of seven this season for trainer Francis Lui Kin-wai. Equaletta Blitz kept on gamely for second carrying top weight after getting bothered for the lead to his outside by Jazz Steed. He did everything but get the win. Transcendent came from last at the top of the straight to fill a placing. He was stepping off a career low in the ratings after debuting with a win off a mark of 80 last season. Well-backed Island Shine made a mild bid following a prominent run on the fence to cap the quartet. It was an improved performance from a better draw. Jazz Steed didn't have much to offer in the run to the wire after going forward from a wide gate to take on the leader. The change in tactics backfired. Harmony N Home came up one-paced when asked for an effort following a handy run with cover from gate two. He wasn't able to raise his game carrying five pounds more following a win.
