Recap by phillip woo
Ka Ying Star kept finding for the win after hitting the front 200m out following a speed-chasing run. His class came to the fore despite top weight. Favourite More Than This rallied strongly from the rear of the field to finish a close second. It was a solid effort on the back of an unfavourable pace. Champion's Way closed well from towards the rear but found a couple too strong in the end. It was a good effort on his past couple but he's likely on or near his mark. Fast Most Furious was a sitting duck over the final 100m after darting to the lead 330m out following a prominent run. It was honest effort but this was a bit too rich. Well-backed late, Singapore Sling never came on travelling midfield. He prefers a longer trip nowadays. Kings Shield knocked up as expected after dictating the run. He's a dirt horse. Playa Del Puente was a non-factor after covering ground throughout one from the back.
