Recap by phillip woo
Well-supported late, Stay Chill just held off Rainbow Light for the win after surging to a narrow lead 50m out following a box-seat run. It was clearly his best run to date from 14 starts. Rainbow Light just failed to get up for the win after settling three back and one off the fence. He had put the writing on the wall two runs back over the 1,600m. Favourite Thunder Stomp was on his tippy toes 100m out after working hard to clear to the lead 1,300m out. He might steal a race shortly. More Than Enough got going late to finish a non-threatening fourth after being ridden for luck on this occasion. He's honest but has trouble winning. Charge On came up one-paced over the final 100m after chasing the speed three deep until slotting outside the leader 1,200m out. Regency Master was a non-factor after struggling to stay in touch early on at the rear. It was an out-of-character run.
