Recap by phillip woo
Sunny Star quickened nicely to easily turn the tables on Wealthy Delight 30m out after making his run on the fence in midfield. The win was forthcoming after impressing in his past two starts. Favourite Wealthy Delight found one too good despite straightening comfortably on top after taking off from near the back 750m out to lead 150m later. He backed up well following a last-start win. Harmony Spirit made it close for second after a box-seat run. He was able to build on an improved effort last start on the dirt. Royal Bomb kept on one-paced in the run to the wire after copping some interference when headed for the lead by Wealthy Delight. He had an excuse but the big weight seemed to take its toll. Murray's Partners came from last to just miss the frame after a slow start. He's found it harder in his past two starts after back-to-back wins. It was a long way back to Heavenly Thought, who weakened after a one-out, one-back run. He's struggling off his current mark. Newcomer Parterre did nothing following a one-off run in midfield. He'll need more time to acclimatise.
