Recap by phillip woo

Sea Of Life responded well to grab a second straight victory 150m out following a one off run better than midfield. He's now won half his four starts and can hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Prime Minister ran on well to make it close on the wire after being held up for a run until the 200m settling three back on the fence. Newcomer Flagship Glory just held on for third after covering ground in midfield from a wide draw. He looks to have room to head higher off his current mark. Sacred Ibis closed off well from towards the rear to just miss a placing after a slow start. He's pretty honest. Diamond Brilliant grudgingly gave way after handing up the lead and settling in the box seat from a wide draw. He rarely produces a bad run. Beluga ran on without menacing after getting posted four wide without cover towards the rear from the 650m. He's a winner waiting to happen.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (367) - BEAT THE CLOCK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

CRAIG'S STAR jumped in at the start, resulting in STAR PERFORMANCE, which began awkwardly, and GREEN REIGN being crowded for room.

SACRED IBIS began only fairly.

From the outside barrier, BELUGA was steadied and shifted across behind runners soon after the start.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, HARMONY WIN WIN was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of CRAIG'S STAR which shifted in.

At the 1100 Metres, SEA OF LIFE was steadied away from the heels of CRAIG'S STAR.

FLAGSHIP GLORY raced wide and without cover from the 900 Metres.

Rounding the Home Turn, PERFECT PAIR lay out and was awkwardly placed near the heels of BELUGA.

PRIME MINISTER was held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 200 Metres.

SACRED IBIS also had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

After the race, C Schofield stated that although obliged to race wide through the middle stages, GREEN REIGN always had cover.

He said however that GREEN REIGN did not let down when placed under pressure in the Straight and was disappointing.

A veterinary inspection of GREEN REIGN immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

A veterinary inspection of E STAR and STAR PERFORMANCE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

BELUGA, SEA OF LIFE and PRIME MINISTER were sent for sampling.
