Juneau Park came with a ducking-and-weaving run near the inside to grab victory in the final few strides after a patient ride fifth from the rear. He improved on a run last month. Lewis was collared late after putting his head in front 30m out following a one-out, oneback run. It was a much-improved effort second-up. Favourite Ka Ying Excellent was swamped late after racing to the lead 150m out following a box-seat run. It was another fine effort carrying more weight following a last-start win. Good Beauty closed well from behind midfield to nearly fill a placing. He's naturally returning to form in his six starts this term. Craig's Star kept on reasonably well without menacing the top four after improving to midfield rounding the final bend following a deep run without cover towards the rear from a wide gate. Equaletta Blitz was stopping 100m out after clearing to the lead 1,100m out from a wide gate. He's gone all right in each of his three starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race : (305) - LUK WU HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

AI ONE got its head on the side on jumping, shifted out and bumped with EQUALETTA BLITZ.

After beginning awkwardly from the outside barrier, KASI FARASI was shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 1200 Metres, INDIGENOUS REALM shifted in away from EQUALETTA BLITZ.

CRAIG'S STAR was left racing wide and without cover at the 900 Metres.

When steadied away from the heels of LEGION OF MERIT after the 800 Metres, AI ONE shifted out abruptly and lost ground.

On straightening, RIGHT CHOICE got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of INDIGENOUS REALM which commenced to give ground.

As a result, RIGHT CHOICE was checked and lost ground.

At the 250 Metres, FANTASTIC SHOW shifted out and inconvenienced both LEGION OF MERIT and AI ONE.

AI ONE, which raced greenly under pressure, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of LEGION OF MERIT which became unbalanced approaching the 150 Metres.

AI ONE continued to race greenly under pressure and shifted in abruptly after the 100 Metres and further inconvenienced LEGION OF MERIT.

Passing the 150 Metres and again after the 100 Metres, AMAZING NEWS became unbalanced in its action.

Over the concluding stages, EQUALETTA BLITZ was hampered by KA YING EXCELLENT (J Moreira) which shifted in under pressure before being corrected.

J Moreira was reprimanded.

As a consequence of being corrected, KA YING EXCELLENT was not ridden out all the way to the finishing line.

The performance of INDIGENOUS REALM, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, INDIGENOUS REALM will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of INDIGENOUS REALM immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its right front leg.

After the race, C Soumillon reported that AMAZING NEWS travelled too keenly throughout the early and middle stages and as a consequence was not able to finish off the race.

A veterinary inspection of RIGHT CHOICE and KASI FARASI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of HAPPY QIJI immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

KA YING EXCELLENT, JUNEAU PARK and LEWIS were sent for sampling.
