Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (304) - LONG KE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
METRO WARRIOR began awkwardly and made contact with NOIR RIDER.
TELECOM SMART was slow to begin.
MOERAKI jumped in at the start and bumped VALIANT DREAM.
PROPICE began only fairly.
Passing the 500 Metres, XPONENTIAL was checked when crowded for room between PROPICE which was taken in slightly by PING HAI BRAVO and VALIANT DREAM (C Soumillon) which shifted out when attempting to maintain its position to the outside of CIRCUIT SEVEN which shifted out when racing in advance of VALIANT DREAM.
In all the circumstances, C Soumillon was severely reprimanded and told to ensure that he rides with more care.
At the 350 Metres, PRINCE OF GEMS was steadied and shifted to the inside of the heels of METRO WARRIOR after attempting to improve to the outside of that horse where there was insufficient room.
Also at the 350 Metres, NOIR RIDER shifted in and became awkwardly placed close to the heels of LIKE THAT which also shifted out when placed under pressure.
Approaching the 300 Metres, VALIANT DREAM and PROPICE were crowded for room between CIRCUIT SEVEN which shifted out slightly and PING HAI BRAVO which shifted in slightly to obtain clear running inside LIKE THAT.
WELLINGTON and PING HAI BRAVO were sent for sampling.

Favourite Wellington won with plenty in hand after surging to the lead 350m out after a prominent run. He's now got a record of four wins from five starts and is clearly destined for better things. Ping Hai Bravo just out-finished Valiant Dream for second following a midfield run four off the stands side but was no match for the winner. Valiant Dream ran on well better than midfield on the far side to make it close for second. He's building towards a win. Prince Of Gems ran on well after checking off heels 300m out travelling behind midfield on the grandstand side to fill the frame. It was another fine performance with a return to the straight 1,000m. Like That kept on one-paced after chasing the speed in the middle of the course. He's honest. Metro Warrior grudgingly gave way over the last 100m after making his run up front on the grandstand side.
