Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (238) - HARBOUR HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
ARES was withdrawn on 1.12.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter GREEN REIGN (K Teetan).
Before being allowed to race again, ARES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
On arrival at the Start, it was noted that MIG ENERGY had blood in its mouth.
MIG ENERGY was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
CABLE SPEED began only fairly and then lost ground when awkwardly placed outside the heels of MIG ENERGY which shifted out.
LE TERROIR began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped COMPASSION SPIRIT.
TAKINGUFURTHER began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped GREEN REIGN.
After this, from wide barriers, TAKINGUFURTHER and GREEN REIGN were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Shortly after the start, TOP SCORE and SCORES OF FUN raced tight.
From the outside barrier, DIVINE REGULUS was also shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
Passing the 800 Metres, SPARKLING DRAGON momentarily raced tight inside the heels of SCORES OF FUN.
Approaching the 600 Metres, GREEN REIGN, which was travelling keenly, was awkwardly placed behind CABLE SPEED.
At the entrance to the Straight, COMPASSION SPIRIT and HARRIER JET raced tight.
In the early part of the Straight, SPARKLING DRAGON lay in and was reluctant to shift to the outside of SCORES OF FUN.
Near the 250 Metres, COMPASSION SPIRIT and HARRIER JET brushed.
A veterinary inspection of GREEN REIGN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
LE TERROIR and SCORES OF FUN were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 29 November 2020 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of SUPER AXIOM, AMAZING ROCKY, ADONIS, RED BRICK FIGHTER, JADE PHOENIX, SUPER ALLIANCES, STAR SUPERIOR, CZARSON, FLYING ON THE TURF, ALL FOR ST PAUL'S, LEADING FORTUNE, KASI FARASI, TELECOM ROCKET, SKY DARCI, LUCKY EXPRESS, TEAM SPIRIT, LOCKHEED, CHEVALIER PRINCE, UNCLE STEVE, HEALTHY HAPPY, ENRICH DELIGHT and BALLISTIC KING revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of FULL POWER, FAMILY LEADER, HARMONY N BLESSED, EVERYONE'S DELIGHT, GOLDEN SIXTY, KA YING STAR, HALL OF CHAMP, SPEED FAY FAY, HOT KING PRAWN, COMPUTER PATCH, WINNING DELIGHT, ENJOYING, FURORE, EXULTANT, RACING FIGHTER, MIGHTY VALOR, HEZA BEAUTY, BEAUTY SMILE, WINNING DREAMER and DUKE WAI (22.11.20) proved negative.

Le Terroir quickened nicely one from the right after peeling three deep following a oneoff run in midfield at the 450m to run down favourite Scores Of Fun for a second win from four starts to start the term for trainer Francis Liu Kin-wai yard. He can win again. Scores Of Fun couldn't hold off the winner after turning the final bend on top by two lengths leading from a tricky gate. He'll repay loyal backers shortly with a win. Harrier Jet kept on gamely to just hold the fast-finishing Mig Energy for third after a prominent run. The old-timer is in a rich vein of form. Punted late, Mig Energy was closing the gap late from behind midfield. It was a pleasing effort carrying more weight following a win. Sparkling Dragon knocked up in the final 150m after chasing the leader on the fence. The big weight took its toll on this occasion. It was an eye-catching run by Divine Regulus who made up heaps of ground late near the inside after a patient ride from a wide gate.
