Punted late Enrich Delight got up 50m out for the win despite getting badly held up from the 350m until the 150m following a patient ride five back on the fence. It was a cracking effort on debut and he has a bright future. Ballistic King found one too smart after hitting the front 60m out following a rail run behind midfield. It was a big run carrying top weight. Tourbillon Diamond closed well down the outside to nearly grab second after settling fourth last from a middle draw. It was a solid run on debut. Invincible Missile ran on nicely from the rear of the field to finish fourth without menacing the top three. He was able to back up a near win last start. Star Of Yuen Long was giving ground over the final 100m after dictating the run from a wide gate. The light weight helped with a rise in class. Healthy Happy hit a flat spot 100m out after looming a chance at the 200m following a midfield run. It wasn't a bad effort stepping up in class following a win.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (230) - CHEVALIER PROPERTY INVESTMENT HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters

SHADOW HERO began only fairly and then lost ground when crowded for room between ENRICH DELIGHT and BEAUTY LEGACY, both of which shifted ground.

ENRICH DELIGHT was then bumped by SHADOW HERO, resulting in ENRICH DELIGHT being taken in across the heels of HAPPY FUN.

TEMPLE OF HEAVEN shifted in at the start and bumped SUPER STAR.

From wide barriers, WATER DIVINER and INVINCIBLE MISSILE were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 1200 Metres, SUPER STAR was momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of TEMPLE OF HEAVEN which was then shifted out to relieve the crowding to SUPER STAR.

After this, TEMPLE OF HEAVEN travelled wide and without cover.

After being ridden along to obtain a forward position from a wide barrier, STAR OF YUEN LONG travelled very keenly in the lead after the 1200 Metres and would not relax.

Approaching the 500 Metres, BEAUTY RUSH shifted out and brushed HAPPY FUN.

Passing the 500 Metres, TEMPLE OF HEAVEN raced tight outside HEALTHY HAPPY which improved to the outside of HAPPY FUN.

ENRICH DELIGHT was badly held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 200 Metres.

SHADOW HERO had some difficulty obtaining clear running approaching and passing the 200 Metres.

Passing the 200 Metres, HAPPY FUN, which was commencing to give ground, was crowded for room between ENRICH DELIGHT which, when improving into tight running inside HEALTHY HAPPY, was taken in marginally by that horse and BEAUTY RUSH which, after being brushed by BALLISTIC KING, then got its head on the side and shifted away from that horse.

After this, BEAUTY RUSH continued to lay out and passing the 150 Metres was steadied when racing in restricted room between BALLISTIC KING and ENRICH DELIGHT.

As the Stewards were satisfied that the crowding to HAPPY FUN was not as a result of any carelessness exhibited by any rider, no further action was taken.

Over the concluding stages, BEAUTY LEGACY raced tight outside HEALTHY HAPPY which was racing tight outside the heels of ENRICH DELIGHT which shifted out under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of BEAUTY RUSH and TEMPLE OF HEAVEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

HEALTHY HAPPY, ENRICH DELIGHT and BALLISTIC KING were sent for sampling.

Racing Laboratory tests of MASTER GALAXY, GALAXY EMPEROR, RIGHT HONOURABLE, SUNNY LAD, SHANGHAI GRACE, STRATHCLYDE, KA FORTUNE, FAST PACE, INCANTO PREPARED, WILD WEST WING, U W BROTHER, WON BALL, SPRINT FORWARD, SMART CHARADE, KEEP YOU WARM, MIG ENERGY, BEAUTY SPARK, SUNSHINE WARRIOR, GREEN LUCK, GUY DRAGON and SCORES OF FUN (18.11.20) proved negative.

Prior to the running of the first race, Jockeys H T Mo and H N Wong informed the Stewards of a positive Covid 19 case in the building where they both reside.

In accordance with the Club's protocol in respect of these circumstances, H T Mo and H N Wong were stood down from their race riding engagements for this racemeeting and the following riding substitutions were approved by the Stewards: Race 1: H W Lai on MISTER ARM Race 2: M L Yeung on KEEP WINNING * Race 3: Apprentice K H Chan on STAR SUPERIOR Race 4: H W Lai on ACA POWER Race 5: M L Yeung on TELECOM ELITE Race 7: Apprentice C Wong on KING OPIE Race 8: H W Lai on STARZ HERO C Schofield on SEA OF LIFE Race 9: C Schofield on GREAT TREASURE Race 10: M L Yeung on WATER DIVINER H T Mo and H N Wong will not fulfil race riding engagements at the Happy Valley racemeeting to be conducted on Wednesday, 2 December 2020.

A further release will be issued at the appropriate time in respect of both riders' eligibility to be declared for race riding engagements.

* As there was no rider available at the weight and due to the very late notice, approval was given in these exceptional circumstances for Apprentice K H Chan to ride STAR SUPERIOR claiming 2 lbs of his 7 lb weight allowance.
