Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (95) - PAK TIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
WINNING STRIKES began awkwardly.
VALIANT ELEGANCE and CALIFORNIA LEVEE bumped at the start.
MIGHTY VALOR shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of INNO LEGEND, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
After this, from the outside barrier, INNO LEGEND was steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
SMART CHARADE was also steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 300 Metres, SMART CHARADE was shifted in away from the heels of INNO LEGEND to obtain clear running.
In the Straight, FORTUNE MASTER lay in under pressure.
A veterinary inspection of VALIANT ELEGANCE immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer??which had previously been reported.
MIGHTY VALOR and INNO LEGEND were sent for sampling.

Mighty Valor led and never looked back for a comfortable win in a good time as the latefancied favourite. He makes his own luck in front and got a race run to suit. Inno Legend came with a ducking-and-weaving run to grab second 200m out. This shows he's better suited ridden off the pace. California Levee came on down the outside after a one-off run behind midfield to just edge early favourite Smart Charade for third. Smart Charade made up heaps of ground near the inside from the rear of the field to just miss a placing. He's honest but not one to take at short odds on a win line. Well-backed Fortune Master came up one-paced following a box-seat run. He had no excuse. Winning Strikes made a mild bid following a one-off run in midfield. He appeared to need the run. Valiant Elegance looked very green in the run to the wire after going forward three-deep to track the speed. He's lightly-raced and will need more time.
