Enfolding quickened nicely down the outside to win going away passing the 100m following a patient ride third from the rear. He's very effective over this course and distance. Clear Choice just edged long-time leader The Hulk for second after a box-seat run. He loves this surface and it was a good effort first-up following a lameness issue in June. The Hulk wouldn't go down without a fight after getting his own way in front. He's not easy to get right but certainly deserves another shot on this surface. Elite Patch stayed on reasonably well after a wide without cover run in a prominent spot with a step up to a mile. He rarely produces a bad run on this surface. Firming favourite High Rev didn't seem to appreciate the kick back and came up one-paced when asked for an effort following a midfield run on the fence. Wealthy Employee made some ground late without menacing after travelling second from the rear. It was a typical effort by him.

Race Six: (80) - NGONG PING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters

As the start was effected, URBAN DANCER became fractious and lifted its front feet off the ground, resulting in the horse being slow to begin.

ENFOLDING was crowded for room on jumping between VOLPINO and CLEAR CHOICE, both of which shifted ground.

MR ALDAN stumbled at the start and then after being ridden along in the early stages was steadied passing the winning post on the first occasion with a view to obtaining cover.

From a wide barrier, WEALTHY EMPLOYEE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

When being restrained approaching the winning post on the first occasion to obtain cover, ELITE PATCH travelled strongly and as a consequence was left racing wide and without cover in a forward position after the 1400 Metres.

HIGH REV got its head on the side and lay in in the middle stages and near the 750 Metres brushed the running rail and became unbalanced.

Then in the Straight, HIGH REV hung in and proved difficult to ride.

H W Lai (EVER LAUGH) was fined the sum of $5,000 for using the whip in an excessive manner on a horse out of contention.

After the race, K Teetan stated that MR ALDAN, which was having its first race start on the All Weather surface today, did not travel well at any stage of the race.

The performance of MR ALDAN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, MR ALDAN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of MR ALDAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of SUPERB DADDY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPERB DADDY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
