Recap by phillip woo
Post-time favourite Skyey Supreme ran them right into the ground in front to equal the class record. The writing had been on the wall and he can win another going forward. Early favourite Party Everyday came from well back after missing the kick to win a blanket finish for second. It was a solid effort when considering the circumstances. Unite Spirit lost second in the final stride after advancing into the Quinella spot 200m out following a handy run on the fence. He has the tools to get away with a race in this grade. Crown Avenue ran on steadily near the outside to miss third by a lip after making his run third from the rear. He's well rated off his current mark but is getting long in the tooth. Double Take came up one-paced over the final 150m after a prominent run one off the fence. He found things too rich following a Class Five win. Dragon Commander ran on without menacing from near the rear. He didn't fire first-up for his new trainer.
