Recap by phillip woo
Handsome Rebel got up 100m out after travelling effectively one-out, one-back for a maiden win at his 23rd start. He had been threatening to do this sort of thing for a long time. Blotting Paper came up second best after surging to the front 250m out travelling up front with the leader Super Winner to his outside. It was a good run pressing a genuine pace and he's likely found his niche on the dirt. War Lord came from worse than midfield to fill a placing. It was one of his better runs in a while following a switch to the dirt. Favourite Super Kin got going from towards the rear to finish a non-threatening fourth. He didn't run up to the expectations of a trial on this surface. Dollar Reward came up rather flat when asked for an effort following a midfield run. He's not going well at the moment. Viva Council wasn't himself after a mad dash for the front and was gone a long way out following a box-seat run. He needs to lead.
