Recap by phillip woo
In a five-runner contest, Chancheng Prince took control mid-race after tracking the leader Tinker Belle on the stands side to win as a short-priced favourite should do. The win was overdue after placing in his first three Griffin starts. Newcomer Hongkong Harmony got up 250m out in the centre of the track for second after a prominent run. It was a positive run on debut and the 10-pound claimer seemed to help. Sea Monarch peaked on his run 150m out after showing a minor spurt 400m out from near the back. He's been able to pick up prize money in two of three start but will need more time. Tinker Belle was coming back to the field 100m out after dictating the early run. She will also need more time and education. Fortune Triple was never involved. He's bred to be a latematuring type and will need longer trips.
